Dominic (Dom) was happiest spending time with his family, loving and being loved by his wife, Alexa, and their beautiful daughter, Sydney. Dom lived a life of service to all: the community, his friends, and most importantly, his family. He found fulfillment when sharing his spirit, time, talents, and humor with anyone in need.

In 1993, Dom began a long and distinguished career as a firefighter and paramedic in the cities of Poway, Oceanside, and Santa Monica. He ultimately retired from the Santa Monica Fire Department in March 2023. During his career, he touched the lives of numerous people serving these communities, dwarfed only by his dedication to supporting friends and family in times of need.

Throughout Dom's life, he built authentic connections with various communities, including firefighters, Land Cruiser enthusiasts, neighbors, travel buddies, and surf buddies. Anyone who connected with Dom felt the impact of his genuine interest in their happiness and well-being and witnessed the joy he experienced from helping others, no matter how big or small the task.

 

Dom was generous with his time and spirit because he genuinely lived to help others live their best lives. Whether assisting a neighbor with a DIY home fix, working with a fellow “cruiser nerd” on a significant renovation project, or helping his darling daughter, Syd, with a school project, Dom openly and generously shared his love, joy, and talents.
